From Trial to Hired — A 7-Day Interview Prep Plan

One free week, one concrete plan. Here is how candidates use the inneRVoice trial to prep for real interviews and convert.

If you've got an interview coming up in 1–2 weeks, the free trial is long enough to make a real difference — but only if you use the week with intent. Here's the exact plan I'd run.

The Rules

  • One session per day, minimum 20 minutes, maximum 45 minutes
  • Every session ends with a review of the transcript (10 minutes)
  • Every session produces flashcards — you review yesterday's cards before today's session
  • You track which topics feel weak and target them the next day

All of this happens inside inneRVoice. No other tools needed during the trial.

Day 1 — Baseline

Goal: figure out where you stand.

Run a mock interview using the Interview Practice meeting template. Let the AI ask 5 questions at the difficulty level of your target role. Answer out loud, press F8 between questions, and don't cheat.

At the end, read the transcript. You'll notice two things: (a) you used way more filler words than you realized, and (b) a couple of answers were fine but sounded uncertain. That's your baseline.

Day 2 — Fundamentals Drill

Goal: nail the basics so they don't trip you up.

Ask the AI to drill you on fundamentals of your role's top 3 technologies. 10 rapid-fire questions, 30 seconds to answer each. Don't aim for elegance — aim for zero hesitation.

Generate flashcards at the end. Review them tomorrow morning.

Day 3 — Coding Practice (In-App)

Goal: code confidently while talking.

Ask the AI: "Give me a medium coding problem typical for [role] interviews." Solve it in the built-in Monaco code tab. Talk through your approach, time complexity, and edge cases out loud — the recording captures everything.

Pop the solution into the floating code window and explain it to the AI as if it were an interviewer. Ask for feedback. This is the closest thing to a real coding screen you can do solo.

Day 4 — Behavioral Questions

Goal: STAR format, no rambling.

Pick 5 behavioral prompts ("Tell me about a time...") and answer each in STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result). 2 minutes per answer, no more.

Read your transcripts. If an answer went over 2 minutes, it was too long — simplify for next time. The AI can also rate your STAR adherence if you ask it to.

Day 5 — System Design or Case Study

Goal: structured thinking under pressure.

Pick one system design problem (or business case, depending on your role) and work through it verbally. Use the floating code window to sketch the architecture. Aim for 20 minutes of non-stop reasoning.

Read the transcript — look for moments where you jumped ahead or skipped an obvious component. Those are the moments a real interviewer would dig in.

Day 6 — Full Dress Rehearsal

Goal: one full mock, start to finish.

Set a 45-minute timer. Run a full mock interview — 2 behavioral + 2 technical + 1 system design. No pauses, no reruns. Press F8 to mark each question.

At the end: - Generate a summary (AI highlights your strong and weak points) - Generate flashcards (for quick review tomorrow morning) - Read the full transcript once

Day 7 — Light Review + Confidence Reset

Goal: do NOT cram. Review what you know.

Open the Session Library. Search for your weak topics from Day 1–6. Skim the flashcards. Do one 15-minute mock on a topic you feel strong about — just to end the week feeling good.

Close the app. Sleep.

After the Real Interview

Whether you got the offer or not, run one more session inside inneRVoice and describe what happened, the questions you were asked, what went well, what tripped you up. The session becomes a searchable record — helpful for the next interview loop.

Why This Works in 7 Days

You're not trying to learn new material. You're practicing the skill of thinking out loud under pressure, which is the actual skill interviews test. Six structured sessions in six days is more than most candidates ever do.

And the trial covers all of it. GPT-4o-mini is more than capable for mock interviews. No credit card. No API key. Just show up.
